Established in November 1983, SELKOL furniture and mattress manufacturers started its operations producing a product range that consisted of a single category of wardrobes. Our product range has subsequently grown considerably over the years such that today SELKOL displays a product range comprising of ten different product categories. The manufacturing of primary and secondary school furniture was introduced into our operation in 2001. Presently, SELKOL supplies in great volumes to the Government of Lesotho, other private companies, and private schools throughout the country.

SELKOL currently employs in excess of 200 employees. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, we can assure our customers of products that will meet and even exceed expectations. We currently supply and deliver to retailers throughout the Kingdom of Lesotho and also extend deliveries to various provinces in the Republic of South Africa. This illustrates the infrastructural and logistical capacity we have in place to meet our commitment of a product that is of quality and affordability combined. Hence our motto of Quality and Affordability Combined.

Since the inception of operating activities, SELKOL, under the able auspices of the Group Chief Executive, Mr. O.S.M. Moosa, has shown remarkable growth and development. In addition, SELKOL has embarked on incorporating a corporate ethos within management and also among lower employees. We endeavor to filter this corporate culture through the company such that it becomes the accustomed sense of business etiquette at al levels of operation. In this way our primary focus of achieving customer satisfaction and delight will be realized.

Having attained a significant share of the market place despite facing forceful competition from relatively more established organizations in the industry, SELKOL maintains its ambition of diversifying its product portfolio even further without jeopardizing the standard of quality that it has already achieved. The commencement of our own foiling and laminating plant is a direct example of this.
